Kimchi stew

My one of the favorite dishes is Mom's kimchi, because of that the kimchi jjigae has to be one of the my best!

Everybody has their own best kimchi which is mom's made.

I know that koreans have lots of kind of kimches, even every home has different taste.

This dish is depend on how delicious the kimchi is, so it's very important use mature well kimchi.

Here is kimchi jjigae which is kimchi stew.

Mom uses two kind of kimches, but you can use just one.

Take on the kimchi from the frigo and cut 5cm.

During the clam soak in to the salt water for a while, put on kimchi on the pot with a cup of water and half cup of kimchi juice .

Pour about 150ml canola oil in to the pot, turn on the medium heat. (about 20 ~30min)

Boil the kimchi until get soft.

After that put the tunna and clam without the shell, turn low heat. ( about 10 ~15min)

Put some slice green onion and turn off from the heat.

It has to look a little greasy.

Now, you can have it!

Boun appettito!!

They should haven't made the waiting line, that's why we were waiting until the space opens up.

Who could leave the line when listen their words?
I also had the hope which get the space, but the real is the space opened up too late.

Korean side dish - Oiji Muchim

<----Questo e' Oiji !!! This is Oiji which is korean cucumbers pickled in salt. It's kind of Kimchi. Most koreans can buy salted cucumbers in the market, or can make by themselves at home. I've never make the Oiji at home, I used to use traditional Market, cause I could find it taste better. So when u get the Oiji, you must soak in cold water for several hours(you should control for ur taste about 10 hours) until the Oiji is not salty a lot. ( I don't like too much salty Oiji!)

After you slice into 0.2cm, put on the strainer and press out(squeeze) the water from the Oiji by hands.
Put in to the bowl, Chilli pepper powder, sesami seed, suger, minced garlic, chopped green onion, sesami oil with the Oiji. Mix well.

Here is finally finished the Oiji Muchim!!!
You can also try with rice or salad.
It goes well for you.
I've heard most foreigners r don't like cucumber kimchi, but I hope you enjoy this korean side dish!(like kimchi)
Bounappettito!
맛있게 드세요~!

The mung bean noodle...BomBi

Bombi means spring rain.
This noodle is just 90kcal, it made by mung bean.
I think it taste pretty good, of course I'd rather not having instant food.
The noodle much like dangmyun(당면) which is the ingredient of the japchae.
Sometimes I have it, it lighter than other noodles...
This is only my feeling( which is not gain the weight) or just my taste???

The korean bangjja...

What is Banjja yuji ?
Follow the explanation is..
Bangjja Yugi(Korean Bronzeware) is made by a method wherein an alloy of copper and tin, in the ratio of 78 parts to 22, is pounded and hit repeatedly by several people with hammers in hand to draw it out thinly to form a shape. Major items of Bangjja Yugi include musical instruments, utensils and other items for religious services, tableware and living goods. Recently teaspoons, knives and forks have also been made by Bangjja Yugi with the change of lifestyle.

Bangjja, also known as yugi, is a korean type of hand-forged bronzeware. A complete set of bangjja includes dishes, bowls, spoons and chopsticks. The main difference between Korean bronzeware or Banjja from other bronzeware is the alloy ratio of copper to tin. The Bangjja contains much more tin than other bronzewares (Cu:Sn = 78:22 as volume) while the normal ratio of tin to copper is 1/9. Due to this compositional difference, bangjja (unlike other kinds of bronzeware) can be sterilized. For this reason, it has historically been used as tableware for the royal families of Korea. Bangjja is used for the traditional presentation of korean royal cusine.

--------
It's time to coming korean's one of the big holiday 'Chuseok' which is korean harvest festival.
In this time, most people visiting hometown, making traditional food and perform a religious service. So when perform the religious service, korean use the Bangjja dishes.
My family also has the dishes, cause the same reason.
The Bangjja is one of great dishes ever, cause there's nontoxic and odorless.
That's why the dishes r expensive and keeping also a little difficult, it must clean often, otherwise turn the color.
Getting close to Chuseok , so I need to take the diches and clean it, for my family's best food go on it !!
